In Coronavirus Lockdown, Indian Railways is operating labor and special trains and now a big announcement has been made giving relief to the passengers. Railways will now start operating 200 non-AC trains daily from next month i.e. 1st June. However, non-AC trains were not allowed to operate till now. There will be non-AC second class trains and passengers will be able to book online for travel in these trains. This information has been given by Railway Minister Piyush Goyal.
Railways has said that more information about trains will be given soon. In another tweet, Railway Minister Piyush Goyal has shared the information that in the next few days the number of Shramik Special Trains will also be increased from 200 to 400. In the coronavirus lockdown, the Railways is operating Shramik Special trains to transport migrant laborers stranded in different states to their home state. Remind that COVID 19 used to run 12000 trains every day in the country before Lockdown.
