The central government on Wednesday released guidelines for Unlock 5. In these guidelines, the government has given information about cinema hall, entertainment park, swimming pool, school, coaching institute etc. The Center has allowed many to reopen since October 15. However, some special conditions have to be followed.
In the guidelines issued by the Union Home Ministry, it has been told that after October 15, cinema hall, entertainment park, swimming pool will be allowed to open. However, only half the audience will enjoy the film compared to the earlier audience in the cinema hall. The ministry has allowed cinemas to reverberate with 50 per cent capacity.
According to the guidelines of the Ministry of Home Affairs, the state governments will be able to decide on their own after October 15 to open schools and coaching institutes. States will need the approval of the students' parents during their decision.
The government has said that online / distance learning will continue as it was and will be encouraged. Schools that are allowed to open must compulsorily follow the SOP to be issued by the education departments of the states / UTs.
Maharashtra increased lockdown
At the same time, the Maharashtra government has decided to extend the lockdown further. According to PTI, the lockdown has been extended till October 31 in the state. Along with this, permission has also been given to open hotels, food courts, restaurants and bars with 50 percent capacity from October 5.
What was unlocked in Lockdown 4?
Earlier, the government had allowed Metro services to be restarted for the first time since the lockdown in March for Unlock 4, which started on 1 September. Metro services were started from September 7 following special guidelines. At the same time, the schools were partially reopened for classes 9–12. Social, political, religious programs with a maximum limit of 100 persons were also allowed from 21 September.

Rapidly growing coronavirus cases
Coronavirus cases are increasing rapidly in India. The total number of infected in the country has increased to more than 62 lakhs on Wednesday after 80,472 new cases were reported in one day. The number of people getting infection-free has also gone up to 51,87,825, bringing the recovery rate to 83.33 percent. According to the latest data released by the Union Health Ministry at 8 am, the total cases of infection in the country increased to 62,25,763 while the death toll rose to 97,497 after the death of 1,179 more people.
